Which, at the end of the day, might be exactly what Eastwood intended….

( this is now just me talking from the top of my head, and based on what I know of Eastwood and his work)

Although the movie was intended to be some sort of a monument to Kyle, as well as a great recruitment tool ,( and a propagandist piece which gives us the oh-so-human side of the US soldiers and explains that even when they shoot children the US snipers do it only to save lives- and even in those cases then pulling the trigger becomes a moral dilemma ) Eastwood was not to keen on doing just that. So, during the shooting he slid in as many changes as possible without making things to obvious ,and we have all seen the end result…

which, no matter do you see it as a pro-war or anti-war movie, a “propaganda” piece or something completely opposite , the film will make you think and ( obviously) debate…

And if that was Clint intention ( as is my guess) .. then he did a great job
