To me .. it looks more like some sort of “curing complexes” , through molesting his partner than anything else….

OK.. this should be the ( imagined) scenario…

The character gets married, with a woman who obviously cares quite a lot about him, and, for a while.. he seems top be happy with his choice…

Then, a few years down the line, He starts feeling the fact that he is getting older and that he ( most likely) did not have “enough” experiences while he was younger. At the same time, he gets immersed in on line porn, and suddenly ( I am saying suddenly since it doesn't seem he had too much experience with women in general) realizes that his wife doesn't look like the woman he sees on his laptop, so he starts busting her ovaries by constant nagging about something that didn’t seem to bother him before… in an attempt to make her look different from the way she does, so, maybe, he might get to feel like he is with one of the women from the clips, not his wife….

The truly sad part is that characters like that do not stop- IF she does go through with the surgery, in a few months, he will start requesting a different type of breasts… then a different belly…. HE will do whatever he can top make her look like whatever it is he has in his mind at the moment — basically, he doesn’t give a flying fuck about Her , he wants her to become somebody else… and characters like that are never happy so, she should have gotten the fuck out of there a long time ago …

As for the other part… No, you do not have to “do everything right….”- ( this is from personal experience- I have been perfectly happy with the woman I married for 7 or 8 years now — and yes, we still do “giggle like twins and have fun together”) — all that anyone has to do is simply respect the other , and their choices, and accept them for who they are…. And one thing no one should do is , after spending a few years together, start complaining about things that didn't bother them in the first place…and try to turn your partner into someone else…
