Both Sturmgwehr 44 and AK47 were ahead of their time… the SG44 especially — — as a sidenote, the weapon was so efficient and well designed for it's time, that it managed to find use even in modern warfare with the ones who ended up using them noticing very few differences between an AK47 and the SG 44 which they were firing….
