A question 4 All

I’ve never been much into social networks ( I don’t even have a FB account) and all the stupidity that generally comes with them. But, in the past 7 or 8 months I have been using twitter- due to the convince of some info. And I have seen countless , extremely emotional discussions — people being angry, having a “bad day”, or “bad week” due to a comment someone made… you get the idea —

my question is: Why does it matter?

Why do people get so riled up when someone they do not know, and will never meet, who lives thousands of KM away and who will never have any role in their existence, says ( writes) something they dislike?

Why do they care so much about a couple of words or sentences placed in a virtual network of people?

I might be insane… but for me, there is still a very clear dividing line between the real world, and the internet and I do not understand why would we give a f… about , what I can only describe as “empty words “ posted by individuals whose existence and thoughts ( in real life) have no importance or effect for our own?
